Paws for Health

Paws for HealthThe Paws for Health program through Purrfect Paws, Inc. has the formula for increased overall healthiness and that remedy involves no prescribed medication. These health benefits are achieved from simply owning a pet. Studies have shown that pet owners are less likely to be depressed, are better able to tolerate social isolation, are more active, and demonstrate significantly reduced levels of risk for cardiovascular disease. Medical research has reported that perhaps the most serious cause of disease among Senior citizens is loneliness. The love, of and for a pet, is a great healer. Purrfect Paws, Inc. is aware of the healing power of pets and has designed a program, Paws for Health, to assist Senior citizens in owning and caring for a pet.

Paws for Health will make monetary aid available for:

food
supplies
medical care
(for cats that are adopted through Purrfect Paws)

In addition, volunteers will be available to help with:
direct pet care
delivery of food and litter
changing of litter
transportation of cats to and from veterinarian
Senior citizens who participate in this program will be assessed to determine the specific needs and levels of pet care assistance they require.

Senniors who choose to access the opportunity to enjoy a relationsip with a loving cat from Purrfect Paws, Inc., will experience not only the "healing powers" of pet ownership, but the satisfaction of providing a "forever home" for their feline companion. Click here for brochure.
